Speaking of the Delaware River, this is a spot I went geocaching with a friend, back in September. It's on the NY side of the Delaware, near Lordsville. The trail up the mountain is a NY State hiking trail. At some points, the trail goes through private land. The summit appears to get quite a bit of activity from hikers and sightseers, but there was still this lovely boulder overlooking the river:

This is the view from the summit, just to the right of the boulder, as you face the river:

Before you get to the summit, there is a creek that runs down over the bank and into the Delaware. The waterfall didn't have much water going over it, but it was still beautiful to look at:

Very nice photos! The one of the boulder on the summit appears to have donation stones on top. Is there anything unusual underneath it?

I didn't notice anything unusual under it. There was some loose stone underneath, which didn't appear to be stacked. The site appears to get a lot of traffic. There were beer cans in a few places, and names carved into the stone at the lookout. So, I wouldn't doubt it if stone had been knocked off the top of the boulder, or if what might have been stacked years ago, is no longer.
